Dr. Peng-Yau, Eric, Wang is the CEO of the SWEETEK INC, Taiwan since 2008. He received his master degree of Environmental Engineering in National Cheng-Kung University, Taiwan. And then obtained his doctoral degree in Environmental Health, Harvard School of Public Health in 1997. After that, he served as an associate professor in the Institute of Environment Engineering, National Central University, Taiwan for 10 years. In 2008, he decided to start his own business and established the SWEETEK Inc. Now he joined the Taiwan Internet-of-Things Alliance(TIOTA) as a secretary-general in 2012, and has been the academic lecturer of the school of software and microelectronics of Peking University since 2013. He has possessed more than 13 patents granted by both America and Taiwan. He also published more than 20 peer-reviewed journals papers during his professional year in the university. Most of his patents were applied in the industry, such as the continuous ambient mass monitor (CAMM) for PM2.5 and the man-down-locator (MDL) system for worker’s safety. His Research Interests relate to methods for measuring time-activity patterns of workers, energy monitoring systems, internet of things(IoT), and smart systems. His distance learning system (SNG network studio) has won the award of national silver medal of quality design in 2005, and has been successfully opened its international markets, such as America, Japan, Canada and so on. During his service as the executive secretary in the smart city office of HsinChu, the city won the award of Smart21 of Intelligent Community Forum(ICF) in 2012 and the TOP7 in 2013.
